Preventify (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Preventify mobile application and related services (“App”). By using Preventify, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve Preventify’s functionality. We do not collect medical records or provide medical care.

• Age range (Under 18 / 18+)

• Password (securely stored)

b. Fitness & Training Data

• Primary sport (e.g., tennis, soccer, basketball)

• Practice frequency and duration

• Selected focus areas (e.g., shoulder, knee, ankle, hip, lower back)

• General movement comfort or stiffness self-assessments

• Preferred workout intensity and session duration

c. App Usage Data

• Completed workouts

• Time spent in the App

• Interactions with App features

d. Optional Feedback

• Workout comments

• Ratings or emoji feedback

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Preventify does not collect:

• Medical diagnoses or treatment history

• Pain severity scores

• Surgeries, medications, or imaging results

• Doctor or physical therapist information

• Heart rate, blood pressure, VO₂ max, or other biometric medical data

• Any information considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Personalize workouts and App content

• Improve App performance and user experience

• Monitor usage trends and feature effectiveness

• Communicate with users when necessary

Preventify does not sell personal data and does not share user data with healthcare providers or medical entities.

4. Minor Users

Preventify is intended for users 13 years of age and older. Users under 18 should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Preventify does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If such information is discovered, it will be promptly deleted. Parents or guardians may contact us to request access to or deletion of a minor’s data.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services and operate Preventify. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics or legal purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Preventify may use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, and App functionality (such as cloud hosting). These providers receive only the minimum information necessary to perform their services and are contractually restricted from using data for their own purposes.

9. Not Medical Advice

Preventify provides general injury prevention and movement guidance for educational purposes only. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and should not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Users should discontinue use if discomfort or injury occurs.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
